Born in Morocco, between the desert and the sea, to a Guatemalan father and Salvadoran mother, Josue Daniel began his career after studying at SATIS film school in the south of France. There, he started shooting music videos, documentaries, and short films, while also gaining experience as a camera assistant on larger productions. Now, he's embarking on a variety of projects as a Director of Photography (DOP). His work is deeply influenced by cinematographers like Emmanuel Lubezki, drawing inspiration from both natural light and artificial film lighting. Josue Daniel explores the nuanced relationship between human cultures, with his multicultural background allowing him to develop a more precise understanding of the world and its complexities. Striking a balance between simplicity and strength, his visual style is often minimalistic yet profound. He aims to find the perfect visual language for each project.
